MAXTRAX Shackle Shields

The MAXTRAX Shackle Shield is a protective sheath that slides over the MAXTRAX Core and Fuse shackles to offer extra protection from abrasions and sharp-edged recovery points, prolonging soft shackle life and enhancing safety.

Many independent recovery points and bullbar recovery points are manufactured with a 90-degree edge, which is not recommended for soft shackle use as it can damage rope fibres during recoveries. The Shackle Shield is compatible with any soft shackle brand and can be retrofitted to soft shackle ropes up to 14mm diameter.

Manufactured from a flexible thermoplastic polyurethane, its unique "U" shaped design reduces tight-radius contraction under load, protecting soft shackle rope fibres and extending shackle lifespan. It removes the need for metal bow shackles in many recovery situations — a lighter, metal-free vehicle recovery solution.

Available in three options: Twin Pack Orange, Twin Pack Black, or Quad Pack (2x Orange, 2x Black). Size: 80mm L x 42mm W x 22mm H. *Shackle not included.
